Bio:

Kate Hartke is a graduate student in Environmental Engineering in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. She received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the same institution and is currently pursuing Engineer in Training (EIT) certification in Arizona.

Her professional experience includes internships with Pima County at the Tres Rios Water Reclamation Facility and an upcoming role with Carollo Engineers. Her research, conducted under the supervision of Dr. Karanikola, focuses on evaluating the economic feasibility of long-distance seawater reverse osmosis compared to direct potable reuse in Phoenix to identify sustainable water supply strategies.
