There are several Project Charters in the Transformation Network that are deeply intertwined through their work on regenerative agriculture, global supply chains, and food sovereignty. Through this Collaborative Working Group, we will look for opportunities to synergize research in regional Food-Energy-Water Systems (FEWS) contexts and their transformative capacity across scales — from local communities to the Intermountain West region — including market connectivity and potential, risk assessments, regenerative agriculture innovations, innovative and energy-independent greenhouse technologies, and food sovereignty for Indigenous Nations. This includes leveraging the work with team members in the Four Corners Three Rivers Place-Based Collaborative and partners working on Indigenous FEWS sovereignty, off-grid controlled-environment food production, and on-farm crop production systems.
